Sib Fun

Sib Fun provides an opportunity for brothers and sisters of children with health and developmental concerns to make friends in a fun, uplifting setting. Children are invited to participate in activities that encourage peer support, problem solving and self-esteem building through energetic, creative games.

Sib Fun is not therapy, but children who attend Sib Fun usually leave feeling great!  Sib Fun is an exciting program just for brothers and sisters of children with special needs (no siblings, no parents).

At Sib Fun, brothers and sisters will:
Meet other brothers and sisters of children with special needs
Talk about their brothers/sisters with others who know what it's like to have a sibling with a disability
Learn more about disabilities and the services people with special needs receive
Make new friends
Have fun

Sib Fun is a lively mixture of games, discussion and activities. Participants should dress comfortably and be ready for action. They will eat the sack lunch they bring, decorate and eat dessert provided by Up with Down, play games, make a craft and hear from a special speaker.

Children ages four and up are invited to attend this action-packed three-hour workshop that celebrates the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of children with Down syndrome. Watch our calendar page for the date of the next Sib Fun event. If you have questions you can contact Meagan meagan@upwithdown or Lauren lauren@upwithdown.com with your inquiries.
